first Draught foal born unfolding at Kensmyth, Clay Meadow
its a curious term “unpacking” which is the giving birth terminology for Alpaca if you didn’t know… but “unfolding” is the term used for horses when foals are first born because well, they are definitely kinked up in the womb.
this is the first few shots of the very first ever Draught foal born to Kensmyth – enjoy…
yet to unfold
oh boy hes going to be big – his mum is nearly 17.2 hh and just look at those cannon bones !
place your bets now but I reckon he will make 18hh or thereabouts!
Wall to wall mating at Kensmyth, Clay Meadow
fond farewells at Kensmyth, Clay Meadow but not for long
so sad to wave good bye to hubby and son Ollie with the ponies recently… off to stud. as my Mum says “its that sex time of year isn’t it|?” yup – off to stud they went to super experienced stud owners now I wonder where that could be?
looking stunning just from the field… took these just before loading them up all primed ready for the stallion…
can barely wait to see what they produce next year for us – marvellous ponies
