Cut that grass I hear you cry – well not here – at Kensmyth we like our Alpaca to have lush grass all year round. If you cut a field for hay fair enough but if you cut a grazing field too short in a heatwave you will lose the ability for it to grow back if no rain appears in the short term.

Alpaca Mums like to leave their babies in the long grass “under cover” so to speak and also like to lie on the cool long grass themselves..

what better way to welcome June 2021 than to shrug off the mantle of cold, wet, miserable and laugh and laugh!!
