Hedgecutting at Kensmyth Alpaca at Clay Meadow
Well at long last it dried out just about enough to take the risk on hedge cutting – now or never as I believe it will be a very wet winter. Very long day but worth every cold moment..
Coloured Ryeland sheep ready for tupping at Kensmyth Alpaca
Well the flock of sheep are soon to leave to be tupped. The lambs too young as only born January 2024 but the Shearling Ewes must go to the tup (Ram) for next April 2025 birthing. They should produce singles hopefully albeit two are from sets of twins.. fingers crossed for next year.
Remember, Remember the 5th of November, Gunpowder and HEDGEHOGS
One can never really warn enough about Hedgehogs in dry (or wet) leaf piles and of course the disturbance to livestock by the fireworks used by many without care and attention.
Meantime a more interesting look at the working Gun dog at Kensmyth!
November 2024 we welcome you at Kensmyth in the Cotswolds
