Catching up with friends is a key part of socialising for humans as well as dogs and Alpaca. This was an amazing place to eat and chat in Taplow by the River.. Banoffee pie pudding – well you just have to! Andrea beautiful as always and such a lovely person who has been a friend for over 46 years – wow!

Grandma’s girl is 3 now – time flies at Kensmyth Alpaca, Clay Meadow
Who would have thought this alpaca loving, horse loving little girl would be 3 already? With another one due in December – we know it will be a little sister – life goes on regardless and time just flies!
Pity in August we had a freak storm with hail but it cleared and she had a fab party!

Cria drop 2023 growing well – Kensmyth Alpaca at Clay Meadow in the Cotswolds
What can I say about the cria drop this year? Difficult to choose names for such fantastic colours – with the exception of the odd throwback which always happens in Alpaca (and he is still beautiful) our stud boys just keep on producing fantastic fleeces, conformation, temperaments and .. colours!
Thameshead near Coates recommended by Kensmyth, Clay Meadow Cirencester
Kensmyth highly recommend the Thames Head near Coates and we have been a few times, taking visitors there. You are better off booking though in the Summer months unless you want to miss out!
Marion, bestie from New Zealand and I enjoyed an early lunch there this month – wicked Banoffee pie, Chicken Skewers, Fish and loads for Vegetarians too!

well with the cria all down it is time to sneak a few visitors in and get out a little bit when the weather is cooler.. best to keep fit Mum – loving the Deer Park with fawns in Oaksey but an uphill walk1
Freke Arms at Highworth for a cheeky wet weather holiday lunch
With the weather being wet, windy, showers, wet, windy, showers and so on.. try the Freke Arms at Highworth if you like a hearty meal and good service..
That is Halloumi fries and Calamares..

Changing greys alpaca and the weather at Kensmyth Alpaca in the Cotswolds
Well the weather is incredibly changeable on a daily and weekly basis. Best thing is to get those cheeky treats out for meals when you have friends over in the wet weather.. meantime Fifty Shades of grey in one yearling..

It is often sad when you know something has to be sold but it is good to know you have served them well and these beautiful boys will shortly be off to pastures new, fantastic fleeces, colours, conformation and temperament.. that is Kensmyth breeding for you!
