Birthdays and celebrations in many homes over Easter and amongst our friends.

So lovely to receive this lovely bouquet myself too….

well with the Easter holidays meaning two lanky lads need feeding, what better than the lean mean cuisine provided at home by the super food Yak. many of you will know I am keen on trying different meats that are home produced where the animal has led an outdoor “normal” life and the Yak is one of our favourite meats from friends “oop North”. lean, tasty mince having no fat content… see for yourself!

Well busy is not the word and we launched our new product range at the Corn Hall over Easter…

weather over the last week has been challenging to say the least. thank goodness we invested in Field shelters that don’t blow over in gale force winds as some of our farming friends have done across the countryside nationally!

one of the benefits of the drainpipe off ground system we use to keep feed spread (so you can observe all livestock feeding and what amounts) and off the ground, is that they are also installed inside the field shelters taking very little room…

which whilst this shot was taken when sunny, the weather here was, um, interesting for frogs!

if you cannot read it we had 50 – 70mm of rain overnight !

with anniversaries and birthdays happening almost every day at the moment, I was delighted to receive a gift of a silver cruet … not an Alpaca but a Llama but marvellous… fits in your palm of your hand…

thank you Mum and Dad – I really love it!!

Kensmyth is pretty good at keeping its product launches secret until “the time”… but this one was kept hidden from everyone…

Beautiful morning here at Kensmyth Alpaca farm. Having planted some 90 plus fruit trees when we first came in 2012, we are reaping the benefits of this already… but one of the beauties here are the established Blackberry yields which with a little effort and freezing can be enjoyed at any time…

a little cereal and a generous helping of handpicked, field grown fresh frozen blackberries to welcome Spring … not long before the 2016 cria are due too…but harrowing and fertilizing and spraying comes first and that is just the fields..

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but we think our 2015 cria drop now halter training are pretty spectacular
